Mission Statement

We are the Concerned Burmese Physicians and Professionals [ CBPP ] presently living around the world. We are dedicated to restoration of human rights and democracy in Burma.

Our Vision:

To abolish military dictatorship and to open a new chapter in Burmese history by making tyranny a thing of the past. Construction of a free and prosperous Burma where people can enjoy human rights and live free from fear, corruption and poverty using our country's rich natural resources appropriately.

Emergence of a genuine federal union where people of multi-cultural and racial backgorunds live in harmony and respect.

Our Strategy:

We honestly believe the best possible way to achieve our goal is by genuine roundtable dialogue and national reconciliation process. However, it is utterly improtant that military junta must show their commitment and sincerity towards this process by: releasing all political prisoners and detainees including Daw Aung San Su Kyi and to stop raiding homes and arresting political dissidents. Military junta must also respect people's freedom of expression and view.

We will pursue both internal and external pressure to convince the junta that the dialogue and the national reconciliation is the best and only possible way to solve Burma's problems. We will provide help and will work in partnership with other organizations and individuals both inside and outside Burma who share the same vision and goal with us.
